Nissin Top Ramen Inventor Dies

I stumbled upon this article today that the inventor of Top Ramen and Cup Noodles, Momofuku Ando, died in 1997. I never knew about it until today! It’s sad that he has passed but he seemed to have lived a full life. He was 96 when he died. In the article, it explains how Mr. Ando invented this delicious and favorite meal for many. He got the idea of “instant ramen” after seeing a long line of people waiting for a bowl of ramen in Japan that was still ravaged by postwar poverty. He then decided to create a ramen that was tasty, quick and easy to make. That’s when instant noodle was born.
